Had a great day today on the water with Greg. We bounced around to a few different tribs and picked away at some nice fish all day long in mild weather finally!

March 22-23 Steelhead

This week has been interesting with the weather, and I've had multiple cancelations due the cold and snow. The bite has suffered a bit too as a result of the unusually cold temps, but also low water and fishing pressure have affected the fishing. We did manage to land some nice fish the past two days, and had some big fish hooked up that we couldn't coax to the net. Won't be long and the runoff will start, and hopefully give the fishing a much needed boost. Here are a few of the fish we did land the past two days, many more landed, just not very big.

March 19th Steelhead Trip

Was a little bit slower today but not much. The morning bite was much better today, it helps when the temps read 30 degrees instead of 13 in the morning! Great overall 2 1/2 days fishing with Joe!

March 17-18 Steelhead Trip

Fished with Joe that past day and a half. Its been really chilly the past two mornings with lots of slush ice but once the sun warms up the water the bite really takes off. Yesterday and today in the afternoon were really good, lots of good hookups and fish to the net.

So I've been on a bit of a hiatus in Guanaja for the past three weeks chasing bonefish and permit in paradise! Please check this place out if you are at all interested in doing an amazing fly fishing trip to a truly special location www.flyfishguanaja.com you won't be disappointed! On a local note, I was out today for the first time since returning and the fishing was a bit tough but we managed to land three nice steelies and a small brown. The bite has been slow from what everyone is telling me but it won't be long till things really break open.
