Late April Steelhead

This past week was quite amazing for large numbers and size of fish. The warm temps really turned the bite on in a big way and Brett and Blake from Denver reaped the benefit during their three day stretch early this week. All the rivers and tribs are on the drop. Hopefully all the fish in the Salmon River stick around a little longer before they blow back to the lake since the river is still up a bit. Here are some highlights from last week....

Mid April Steelhead

The Salmon River has dropped to 2250cfs but is still chocolate milk. With the visibility so poor we've been fishing mostly tribs trying to stay in the clear water. We've done well for but am hoping to see the Salmon River clear within the week! Here are some highlights from the past week.....

Early April Steelhead

There has been plenty of water lately to deal with in and around the Salmon River. Spring runoff has been in full force abd there were still a few places that were fishable until today. It rained all night and all morning which has muddied up all the tribs. At this point almost everything is completely blown out, hopefully the rain with give us a break! Here are some of the highlights from this past week....href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR2RpuKmfYv8lvRa6ikYLb9cQvZ46tCf4MKT__b7prdNDf_EaPwrS74_p1oOOcbVfAwox-feXGqf-Vj49atfx_yU-IM8baApUxNSO0Q9G_EOdhnogbL2jxjRxWHtM1oIAq4-MN-5j7PK7R/s1600/DSCF0522.JPG" imageanchor="1" >
