August at the Royal Coachman Lodge AK

















The water levels are as high as they are during the spring runoff which is making fishing our usual spots interesting. We actually are still doing really well but are more limited to certain rivers that aren't too high or too muddy due to all the precipitation. However, we have had a great week of nice weather and hopefully it is here to stay! The Pink Salmon are stacked out in front of the lodge so thick you could catch a fish on almost every cast if you wanted. They are probably one of the most aggressive salmon and will eat almost anything you throw at them. There are also some silvers starting to show up on the local water too. The rainbow fishing is still doing well and the char fishing is on fire right now! Here are some pix from the last couple weeks...
