Fished the last two days in and around the Salmon River for Steelhead and Browns. The first day we fished the Sandys and did well early in the morning but with the heavy rains we had the night before they became chocolate milk by 9am. We headed back to the Salmon River the rest of the day and landed one nice Rainbow and lost some more fish but that was it. The next day was much better and we landed many big trophy browns and even caught one nice Atlantic Salmon. Here are the pix...

October 23rd Upper Salmon River
Fished the Upper Salmon River today and had another amazing day of fishing! The Brown Trout fishing was, again, epic! Lots of Browns, some nice Cohos, a couple Kings, and a few beautiful Steelies in the mix. We had hookups all day long with almost constant action. The Salmon River is becoming a major Brown Trout fishery much like some of the famous Brown Fisheries of western New York. The Fisheries management is really doing a great job and they deserve all the credit! Here are the pics from today....

October 22 Salmon River
Fished for two hours this morning in front of Skeeter's house on the Salmon River and had lots of action immerdiately. We landed some nice steelhead and lost some more nice fish. The river is still at 750cfs and is much clearer than it was all last week. A big push of fresh steelhead are moving through the lower and mid river also.

October 21st Salmon River
October 19th and 20th Sandy Creek
Fished the Sandys the past two days and did Great! We had lots of steelhead all day and even some fresh kings still hangin around. The water is dropping fast though and probably won't fish well for long unless we get some rain. I didn't have my camera for the 19th but here are the pictures from the 20th...
