March on the Salmon River and Tribs

This March started off with unseasonably warm temps which was jump started the season for us.  I was able to book more early to mid March trips than usual which then came to a screeching halt with the coronavirus working its way into New York.  It is now illegal to be guiding in New York, as we are non essential workers, until further notice.  It doesn't look like the spread is slowing down anytime soon so the spring season is potentially done for me, unless things start drastically changing.  I have been doing some fun fishing during the social distancing period which has been a nice change and a great way to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather with Jake!  To any of my guests that are booked and have not heard from me already, I will be in touch as our dates near next month.  Stay safe and healthy!

Belize

Just returned from our annual winter Belize trip.  We had a few days of beautiful weather and we had some days that were not so good due to cold fronts and rain.  When the conditions for permit weren't right there were so many other species to target like bonefish, snook, tarpon, barracuda, jacks, and trigger fish.  We were able to get into all except the tarpon, we were on some rolling tarpon a few times but couldn't get them to eat.  All in all it was another great trip to Belize and I can't wait to get back down there in May!
