Alaskas Late June at the Royal Coachman Lodge
The season is in full swing here at the Coachman and it has been an absolutely beautiful June here! We are seeing some enormous runs of Sockeye and Chum salmon, with strong King numbers as well. While Pike and Sheefish fishing this week we saw good numbers of both along with a huge bonus king mixed in pictured below. While we were fighting one of the Sheefish a big Pike decided to take a swipe at it, you will notice the huge gashes in the sides of the Sheefish below! Whats amazing is the size of the Sheefish that the Pike tried to eat, I would love to have seen the size of that Pike!

Early June in Alaska
We've finally wrapped up our two weeks of pre-season work and are now into our first week of guests. We did manage to get out and do some fishing during pre-season and caught some really nice Rainbows, Lake Trout, Char, and Grayling! The temps have been unbelievable here, we've seen 70's and 80's almost everyday for the last week! It has only rained once since I've been here and it was barely a sprinkle! It definitely doesn't feel like Alaska but I'm not complaining! Here are a few pics from the past couple weeks....
