The past couple weeks have been more great fishing with lots of rainbows, char, and dolly varden. The silvers have started showing up this past week in the Nushagak system and should only get better every week from here on out. Lots of low water in all our fisheries still although we did get some much needed rain today. Here are some highlights from the past two weeks.

June to Mid July in Alaska
This has been a long overdue post I know I know. Bad internet, a wet phone with lost photos, and no days off for three weeks has helped contribute to my tardiness. The good news is the fishing has been really good this spring/ early summer. We have had a phenomenal King Salmon season! Lots of Kings returned to the Nushagak River this year and we reaped the benefits. The Rainbow fishing has been exceptionally good throughout the season and continues to be good. The monster Pike fishing has been really good with some Sheefish caught, unfortunately I have only been over there once so no photos of big Pike. We are already seeing dead and dying Chum salmon, spawning Kings, as well as spawning Pink Salmon which is relatively early, as well as just about everything else this year due to the warm spring and lack of snow melt. It would not surprise me if we saw Silvers in the system at the end of the week! I have more pictures from last week to post but I didn't want to crash our already slow internet so I'll make sure to do a post next week. Here is a taste of Alaska '16 so far, enjoy!
