September at the Coachman

The water is still super low but the fishing is red hot this fall. It rarely isn't red hot up here but it has been especially good this September. Great numbers of big rainbows, large char, big colorful dolly varden, and lots of big sea lice silvers, life has been good! Its been another great season up here this year, we have just one more week before we shut down the lodge for the season. The next report will probably be from New York on the Salmon River.

Mid to Late August in Alaska

Fishing for Rainbows has been red hot for the past few weeks, we are hooking some really big fish, not landing all of them but thats to be expected with the size and strength of these fish. The Silver Salmon fishing at the coast has been amazing. I haven't guided it at all but guests are all coming back with sore arms. The water is continually dropping to lows that I haven't seen in eight years of guiding up here. Fortunately it doesn't seem to be affecting the fishing. Here are a few highlights from the past couple weeks
