Jan. 19 Salmon River Steelhead

I fished the Salmon River with a friend for a couple hours and we landed a handfull of steelhead and lost a few more. It was a good bite for the short time we were out and good to fish in nicer temps than we've been experiencing. Here are a few Steelhead pics from the day

January 2

Fished the Salmon River today and it was tough with the cold temps and wind. We landed two steelhead and lost a few more in the lower fly zone. We lasted till about 2pm and decided to call it a day. Here are a couple pics from today.

Dec 12

Tough weather this past week has kept us off the water but I did manage to get out on friday and fish the Salmon River. We floated from Pineville to 2a and did 14 fish. It was very productive but very cold at the same time. The river is flowing at 750cfs.....perfect, and there are tons of fish to be caught! Here are some pics from the day.

Dec 3

Fished North Sandy in the morning and did well until it became too muddy to fish with all the precipitation. We made our way back to the Salmon River did very well there also. Many browns and rainbows with a few steelies mixed in.

Dec 1

Fished the Sandy's for the first time since I've been home and we did great! Caught lots of fish throughout the day and had a ball. The Salmon River is also fishing very well still but with the recent rain the Sandy's finally got some much needed runoff to bring it to prime level. Here are some pics from the day.

Nov 27-28

Fished the middle Salmon River for those two days and did very well. Lots of hookups throughout the day and plenty of action. The trick has been avoiding the crowds which have been the heaviest towards the upper end of the river. Here are some pics from the two days.

Nov. 24-25

The Salmon River has been very productive the past couple days in the mid river. We are getting consistant hookups throughout the day of steelies, browns, and rainbows. Here are some pics from the past two days.
